If you don't mind my asking... what are the practical applications of doing alchemy? What is it exactly that you do?

Alchemy... it can be used for anything. Mostly fixing, repairs and building -- I'm good at those. It can also be used militarily, and in Xing they have a type of Alchemy that's medicinal. I'm studying that now.
