Edmund found himself growling, hackles raised, and before he knew quite what was happening, he'd transformed into his Panther form and was launching himself at Al. Not to hurt him - he didn't think he ever could - but simply to put him in his place. It was both easier and harder in this body - easier for the strength and resilience it gave him, harder for how keenly he could smell Al now. It didn't matter; Al was being unfair, unsympathetic, and it grated more than he could bear. He attempted to knock Al to the ground. He would probably be unsuccessful; the Lion outweighed him by almost half again. But it was the point that counted.
