Al knew what he was asking. Edmund's need grated on him, crying out to him, and this wasn't any easier for Al than it was going to be for Edmund. But he refused, he refused, to be one of those Alphas who excused their actions with biology. And even if it weren't for the many, many barriers separating him and Edmund...
