It certainly felt scandalous -- for no real reason, Al felt himself blushing again, the hairs on the back of his neck going up. He was used to all kinds of physical contact -- hugging, fighting -- but nothing quite like that. It felt almost like the electrical charge of an alchemic circle.

And then he went and ruined everything, with his concern. "No, I mean -- it just sounds... unlikely." Yeah, way to save it there, Alphonse. His own powers might seem fantastical by Edmund's standards, but by Al's, they were very scientific. Completely well-understood. "I want to believe you. I mean, I don't think you're lying." Edmund clearly believed every word out of his mouth, however impossible. And he was right, Al had seen him appear seemingly out of nowhere.

"I don't understand it, that's all. But I'm sure... I'm sure we'll find the answer, and a way to get back home. Just... until then, if anyone asks, let's tell them you came from Amestris, okay? Central City. It sounds kind of like your London." Dark and rainy, at least.
