"You're in Xing, in the lands and under the protection of the Chang clan," he said finally. There was much more to it then that, but he wanted to get Edmund settled first. Maybe after he drank and ate, he would regain some of his senses, and be able to tell Al where he had come from. There was no sense in upsetting him before they got that far, at least.
"You must be hungry and very tired. I'll order up to the room, and then we can talk."
